Seminar

Interactions between symplectic geometry, combinatorics and number theory (14722.0068)

or

The "ColMar" Interactions

This semester the seminar "Interactions" will join the teams of two universities: that of Cologne, and that of Marburg, therefore the name "ColMar* Interactions". The goal for this semester is to explain some very recent developments in the field of equivariant symplectic geometry. In particular, positive monotone complexity one spaces as well as classification results of GKM spaces will be treated.

The organisers are:

Oliver Goertsches (goertsch@mathematik.uni-marburg.de)

Panagiotis Konstantis (pako@mathematik.uni-marburg.de)

myself (sabatini@math.uni-koeln.de)

It will be held online via Zoom every other Thursday (see below) at 14:45 Cologne time (CET).

If you are interested and would like the link to the Zoom-Meeting, please send us an email.

The schedule, so far, is the following (click on the title to see the abstract):

26.11.20: Isabelle Charton, "Classification results of positive monotone, tall complexity one spaces, Part I"  Video of the talk

10.12.20: Isabelle Charton, "Classification results of positive monotone, tall complexity one spaces, Part IIVideo of the talk

14.01.21: Leopold Zoller, "GKM manifolds are not rigid, Part I

11.02.21: Panagiotis Konstantis, "GKM manifolds are not rigid, Part II"

25.03.21: Markus Schwagenscheidt, "Elliptic Genera"

01.04.21: Alexander Caviedes Castro, "Elliptic genera and circle actionsVideo of the talk

17.06.21: Alexander Caviedes Castro, "On the Mukai conjecture and the Kostant game"

* It is also worth noticing that in Italian "colmare" means "to bridge", and we like bridges, because they allow interactions...
